Were those prices ridiculous for the time, and I wonder how they translate to today's prices.

well, in 1989 i bought a brand new F250 supercab with heavy duty 5 speed manual, 351 V8, positrack rear, am-fm radio, and basic XL package, not top of the line... It was $14,000. Dont think twice that would touch it now.------ Those are still good prices, especiall for he unrestored ones pre 1940

According to Google, inflation from 1984 to now is 95% so lets see, a $6,000 tractor in 2009 dollars would be $11,700, hum, I guess I don't want to know how much less our dollar is worth now.
