Hi all, just curious if anyone here has any experience with removing the 2800 series diesel engine from these old loaders. Is there any easier way than removing the rear axle to get this out? There is only about an inch of clearance between the axle and the base pan, and not enough room to lift before hitting the cab. Really wasn't planning on this much work, but I guess there may not be a choice. If anyone has a better way, I'd like to hear about it.
Thanks in advance, Layton

I've had the engine out of my 840 several times to replace the drive disc but have never taken the rear axle out to do it.
