I have a snap coupler 72 plow I plan on trying to pull with my CA. It is 14" bottoms. Anyone recall what width I need to set the rear tread at?
Also, anyone have a couple spare eccentrics for a CA laying around? I have one broken one and one almost round one. Thanks, Jesse.

On 14" plows with the standard tires we ran the wheels all the way in. Worked well for us.
Good Luck! Bill Long

The CA is a great plowing tractor, you are really going to enjoy it. I set then tires so that the right rear would run in the furrow when plowing. When the plow is mounted, you can see where the right side tires should be (the point of the plow should be even, or slightly past, the outside if the tire. Can provide advice on how to set up the plow before you stick it in the ground if you want. Trust you have wheel weights or loaded tires; front wirghts are also a plus to keep the front tires on the ground when lifting the plow.
I have some CA eccentrics available; do you need the pin or the complete assembly? |

Oops. Phat phingers again; the point of the plow should be even with the inside of the rear tire.

If you have 14" bottoms then your point should measure 14" to the inside of the right tire. Your depth and wing adjustments are best made in the field I've found. Winging the plow will cause it to ride with a flat bottom furrow. I have someone watch from behind to help me set up my plow. Depth can be made from the seat. I would make sure all the adjustmant points are free and easy to make over their full range before you attempt to plow. Makes life alot easier.

Yeah, I know how to set up the plow once I am in the field. I have already got the beaming screw loose. I plan on getting the winging adjustments loose this week one night. Never used this plow and tractor before so it should be fun. I have loaded tires and a set of wheel weights if I need them. Wish I had some engine weights too.
I need just the pin for the eccentrics. Someone snapped the head off of one of them and used a pipe wrench on the other.
