A friend has a 7045 that he has replaced the air conditioner compressor twice and is in need of a third. He claims the last time the system was flushed, drier, valve and all were replaced and lasted a year or so. His question is whether there is a better compressor available than the original style and if anybody has a part number? I saw something about an A6 and a Sanden, but I don't know the difference. He is running 134A and I saw one of the old compressors. It was about 4" in diameter and a foot long or so if that helps.K

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

Is the compressor seizing? If it is, I'd guess lack of oil in the system. If the compressor shreds it's self, it is not easy to get all of the debris out without replacing the condenser and evaporator. |

I think the Sanden is the way to go.
