Not much work lined up today so I took the day off and went down so. of Vandalia to an Auction. My brother had day off so he went with me.Very good turn out for a monday auction. I got there a 1/2 hour after the auction started and my number was 544. My brother got a number a little later and his number was over 600. Quite a few rack wagons and I quickly noticed that there were not many bargains.Or at least the stuff I was interested in went for good money. Here are some pics and prices if I wrote them down. Quite a few A/C hats in the crowd , but did not meet any forum members.I bid on a few items ,but did not buy anything.

Actually there was a member there today. I bought a few odds and ends and one of the tractors there today. Stuff went high for the most part, seems like values are coming back in some places.

Pat, the one row picker was called a corn harvester I believe until they added the rubber plugs in the back end of the rolls and the fingers to push trash through, then it was a #35.
I would say that was a bargain. The last one I heard of around here went for $1200 at auction.

Yes, thanks for posting prices AND pictures. I like seeing what things are actually selling for and what condition they're in.

I have a 1 row 35 picker and the husking bed is right behind the snapping rollers. I had it at Rantoul and picked 4 or 5 loads with it.  Mine is not for sale but at 1200 I would be tempted. I heard of one in northern Illinois thjat brought 1500.
