A/C 180 has torn hydraulic screen. Can it be repaired or do I have to purchase a new one? Where could I order one? 1967 model.

An AGCO dealership if it is still available. This screen is important and must be in GOOD condition. Anything that gets thru it can lock up the hydraulic pump and possibly break the camshaft in the engine if it does lock up.

Thank you, the hydraulic fluid had a little water in it and I decided to see if it had any sludge in the drain sump. Fairly clean but I noticed the screen was torn away from its frame. Probably should order rubber seals for return and suction tubes??

Mine was torn and the screen pulled away from the frame in my D17 IV. Sadly it was no longer available. I used a little engineering and managed to make a new one myself but that might not be for everyone. Ryan

My first thought was to repair it. I'm going to a local tractor salvage that has a 180 in it and see if I can purchase the screen if it's good.

D-17 screen very fine mesh and measures 8" x 8" approximately. 180 is coarser screen and measures 3" x 7" approx. Both do the same thing but vastly different from each other,

Yes, The numbers I listed are from my old AC 180 & 200 parts books, AGCO has updated them but your dealer can cross them easily.

Ad a 70 to the beginning of each number. They’re still available. Little pricey though

Then my idea of making a new frame and attaching the screen would definitely never work. Thank you for correcting me. Ryan

Thanks for all the help with the hydraulic screen issue. I found a screen locally that was a different style and was able to sandwich the screen between two gaskets and apply permatex to all surfaces. Does anyone know if I can find an oil pressure switch for my A/C 180 at an auto parts store. Part#? Light had been on constantly with good oil pressure. I checked with a glycerin gauge. Thanks in advance. I've named my 180 "Ol Woman ." She shares the same birth year as my wife 1967!
