840 wheel loader need parts

   Hello everyone I'm new and need help.
I'm working on an Allis Chalmers 840 wheel loader.
Model number on the vin plate is 1095175
Serial number 2328
In the cab.. I'm looking for the forward reverse shift lever/handle assembly.
AND the part that it goes into.
I'm being told the part name for that assembly is called shift pivot shaft.
The forward/reverse handle comes completely out of that box and has (had) splines on it..
So I'm assuming the box (shift pivot shaft) should have some type of gear in there.
I see Nothing.
The problem is it is in low gear ALL the time.
I have been given part numbers for each but cannot find either item.
Help I'm stuck in slow motion over here
