I picked up a nice 82S side mower this week for my Series II D15. I got it mounted up today and tried to trim some edges and right away got to close to a metal T post. Knocked off my end section and I do not have any extras yet. The no independent pto is a little hard to get used to again.I usually use my John Deere 2510 with a no10 side mower but thought this would be neat for my 15. It really should have a new knife. Are they available or do I just need to rivit new section on the one I have. I might even end up selling the mower as I have two Deere's and lots of extra new parts for them. I could really enjoy a whole field with a light stand of hay. That would be more fun than field edges, stream banks and pasture. Maybe next week I can get a few pics to post. Tom

Webb's Sickle Service has the knife assemblies that are better and more heavy built than
originals.

A D15 has a "Live" PTO. The Power-Director" needs to be in neutral for the tractor to stop with the PTO continuing to run.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Yep, and the good part is in case of emergency like seeing something in the grass hitting the foot clutch stops everything instantly.

I know the 15 has live pto as I put lots of hours on one growing up but after 25 years of fully independent pto it takes some getting use to again. Gary many years ago(about 25) I sold you a WD45 with wide front. I took either a D10 or a D12 in on trade. Spent a long time at your place looking at all the stuff you had. I met you at Marion auction in PA which was still Ralph Horst auction then. My Dad lived below Hagerstown MD and we milked cows there before moving to WI. Tom
