We need young blood interested in old stuff or prices will keep falling. We're having the same problem as the Harley and hot rod crowd (but not muscle cars.
A couple running CA's near Harrisburg, PA for sale with asking $1k that are wfe and have nicer paint. (Lewistown & Newport). They are on FB Marketplace. The Lewistown is on CL as well. https://pennstate.craigslist.org/grd/d/lewistown-allis-chalmers-ca/7185464448.html They haven't sold in over a month. 5yrs ago they'd sell for $1500 in a couple days. I would be grabbing one, but I promised the wife I'd get some projects done 1st - besides not much room for a new toy (now). (4 tractors already). |

I agree. Seems to me, a lot of kids now a days don't show any interest in "mechanical" things today. They don't have the energy, and they don't want to get their hands dirty. Very few young hotrodders. My son was one of them. When I go to a Sreetrod Nat's event, very few young bucks. Mostly old farts like me. . When he was younger he was always around me and my hotrods, muscle cars n' Tractors. Rode in them and on them. I tried a few times to spark his interest at a young age, but to no avail. I never pushed my kids in to anything that they didn't want to do. Just a whole different generation that looks at things differently I guess. He's 40 now, with kids, so I guess that's the icing on the cake. LOL!
