Hello,
I bought a 1979 715b backhoe, the transmission dipstick is broken off (not inside trans) I need to make a new dipstick and wanted to know how log it needs to be.
Could someone out there with an Allis 715b backhoe please measure the transmission dipstick (not including the handle and cap, just the thin metal strip) and post the length on here.

Thanks

Dipstick is 30.75" long as measured from the disc with the O ring. The ADD mark is 1/2" from the end and the full mark is 1/2" higher. The fluid level is much higher after sitting for awhile. You are supposed to check the level immediately after shutting off the engine.

Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed
