Just noticed that the rear end of my 715b backhoe is cracked. Thank you previous owner! I guess this rear end was used in 710,714,715 and 705,706,708 forklifts. I am in MO. Any thoughts or other options?

The part was outsourced by AC - can't remember who built it for them - might have been Ford .

It is a Ford rear end. Got the blue oval and everything. Somehow it cracked all the way around the axle. Maybe the bolts weren't tight at some point? Anyway I will probably try to weld unless I can find something local.
I am guessing that a ford or new holland backhoe may use the sand axle? |

A lot of the ford rear ends are the same, don't mess with trying to weild it up. If you are In mo the are many scrap yards filled with fords, right behind the john deeres. They most likely will have a allis there to help load.

If you want a man to be a successful farmer, give him a Allis Chalmers tractor. If you want him to be a successful mechanic, give him a John Deere
