Well, since you know the limiter is good, I would suggest the high low range cable, or the small park cable, if either are broken or way out of adjustment, the two speed after the transmission isn't going into gear.  Do you know if it moved before the motor was blown?

Splines are ripped out of the low range clutch housing of the Power Director clutch.

Story goes, this tractor was going through the field pulling a field cultivator, and suddenly threw a rod out the side of the block. So I gotta think it was drivable before. Dr, could the engine locking up ripped splines? I dont really recall this one being locked up though. Will have to check it out. What about inching pedal? Ed.

Verify the clutch valve has pressure...195-205 psi minimum.  If the floor buttons stay in "hi" when depressed and returns to low button when the clutch pedal is pushed in, the pump is probably working OK.  If the torque limiter wasn't seated after installation, the disc probably isn't perfectly centered and that will finish off splines that are worn to begin with.

There are some large O rings in your PD clutch area that when they get stiff you will have nothing when you let he clutch out.  That is partly why my 7080 is split now.

I have a 7050 that just quit a couple weeks ago, but if you have some grinding thats more than Ive got. I havent had time to look into mine so I cant be of much help but it does sound similar to my problem. Would the piston seals in the PD like victoryallis said leak by enough pressure to keep them from grabbing?
