Can someone list all the seal numbers and quantities I'll need to reseal the PD. I need to put another spring in the torque limiter and want to reseal the PD while its apart.

Go to the AGCO parts book for that tractor, and order ALL parts with the description of O-Ring, or Seal. Should be page 158.
Do NOT order item 70267399, SLEEVE, Seal, unless you really really need it, very costly, and unlikely to be needed.

I looked them up at lunch, glad you said something about the sleeve cause I was going to order it. This will be my first time tearing into a PD so I'm hoping it goes smoothly.

Word of advice if this is your first one, you need to use generous amounts of hydraulic fluid when assembling the clutch pistons, AND a couple of feeler gauges, to "slip" the piston seals in the housing. They are very easy to damage if you aren't careful. If you tear one even a tiny bit, replace it.

One part number for a "seal kit" gets you every single seal.

You will have a few extra seals in kit. Sleeve does not come in kit.
Why do you need another wrong in torque liminator? MACK |

There isn't a seal kit for the 100 series tractors. Just order the individual parts for them. I usually replace the three steel sealing rings in the 7000 and 8000 series along with the seal kit.

I think a new torque limiter will slip some at the very first until it burnishes itself in....... key words "I think".

Are you still running the old pressure plate setup, or has it been upgraded to the beleville washer

Pressure plate system with coil springs was only used on early 7040/7060 Power Shift transmissions. Never on any Power Director.

I'm getting my 7040 PD ready to put the beefed up tq limiter back together. My plan is to use the new hd 6 pad disc, the new pressure plate, and a new belleville washer, and add the old belleville too along with some CAT 5P8245 flat washers (.125") under the stands to keep the bellville (.160") washers from going over center. This is not going to be a dedicated puller, but will be hooked to a sled most of the time. I really don't want to bolt it in solid, so to speak. I plan to make a clutch aligning too to center it, since it probably won't slip enough to center it. I won't be pulling this in road gear lol!

We are going to drill and tap the flywheel surface for six 1/2" allen headed bolts, and turn down the heads thinner, so they will fit in the 6 round holes in the slots of the disc.

Good to know, I just always assumed the ones I have split had already been upgraded.
