Hello All,
I recently purchased an early 7040 with cab, gauges and tach do not work, I purchased a service manual, i cannot locate info explaining how to access the back side of the instrument panel, i did remove cap screws holding cover at underside of dash, it does not readily remove, and i do not want to start yanking/breaking things, i searched this forum, did not see this question answered in the past. Thanks for sharing Allis knowledge.

Remove top panel behind top hood (two springs behind hood side sheets ). Two bolts holding next panel under windshield. MACK
