I have a newly acquired 7020 that jumps out of high range on the road. It feels like it engages good. It shifts easy in high low and park. Is there something I can adjust? It's a low hour tractor and I can't imagine it being ground enough to make it jump but??

make sure the lever under the floor board is going all the in to the detent. you may have to adjust the cable.

The only 7000 series I ever had do that had been shifted on-the-roll from Low to High and had all the teeth ground off. It didn't have many hrs on it either.

Dr, what about one that jumps out of reverse? 7045 does that, under load or not.

Power Director I assume?? Usually linkage is worn or loose enough it isn't fully into reverse. If it truly detents into reverse and jumps out, I'd guess it's been ground into reverse too many times..............

Yes, power director. Well, I don't know what owner of the tractor I am. I'm not the one who ground it into reverse, but it may very well have been, who knows.
Mack, I don't know whether to take comfort or concern in you statement! lol
