1. Heavy duty axle with 10.00 x 16 tires. If you have the light axle with 15 inch tires you'll be amazed at the improved turning and smoother ride. If you have a loader, use 11.00 x 16 tires or better yet, get a FWA tractor. The frame on the red belly is a bit weak and the trans. shifting is non synchro.
2. Change some or all flood lights to halogen. This may be a good time to use relays between the switch and the lights if you have not done so already.
3. Change the inside cab mirror to a convex type and move its mounting one hole inward- left. This will give you a much improved view of what's behind you. The red belly's did not have the side mirrors and for $15.00 this is the best alternative.
4. Get a digital modern radio. If this is your lively hood work machine, get a heavy duty tractor radio with easy use buttons, CD, weather band, clock, etc. These radios have much better sound than car stereos. Jensen- http://www.jensenheavyduty.com/products/stereos.html or REI- http://www.agriradiosupply.com/in-cab_radios.html or Delphi - http://delphi.com/manufacturers/cv/entertainment/radios/
5. Double this size of the foot throttle. Remove the pedal from the tractor and weld on approx. the same size of metal on the right side of the face. It should be just the right amount as not to interfere with the left brake pedal.

Al of the above points just reflect the state of agriculture. If we had more money we'd be driving something new. Anyone else for modifications?

Engine timing cover breaks. Right? At least that's what I saw when I worked at the dealership years ago.

My 7000 black belly with the HD front end cracked the oil pan b/c the engine timing plate worked loose.  And it never had a loader or front weights on it.  Only thing I have against the 7010 is the weight difference.  There's a pretty good jump up in weight for the same hp, but it is a heavier built tractor.
