Anyone with a HD4 or 655 or even HD3 should be looking at parts from the machine .
that 2200 engine was also used in fork trucks and in cotton pickers - but there they put a turbo on it and boosted it to about 85 HP in the picker Edited by Coke-in-MN - 25 Nov 2015 at 10:10pm |

It would seem to me if the tracks, transmission and engine are good then rebuild your reverser. Same as the h4. That's a nice size small dozer. As soon as you sell one part from it THEN it becomes a scrap unit. If you don't want it put a price on here. someone will buy it. I would think its to good to scrap out. I am sure theres guys on here can help you with any parts you need. Just my 3 cents worth.

somewhere out there is what is needed - it's just finding it .
Yet there are parts made of unubtanium - that is until one gives up - then the part is found a month later . |

Bob, if you don't fix it yourself, I hope you give someone else the opportunity to do it.

Bob: Is the forward reverser a Borg Warner unit?...AC used a Velvet Drive Torque converter in the 700 series backhoes and may have shown up in the crawlers. When you get the unit out let us know what the tag says on the converter and can help you from there. Send a PM and will provide more details.

How are the final drives on your machine. I am going to rebuild mine, but would be nice to have a set of extras down the road.

In addition to adding a turbo they also added a counter balancer which was driven off the crankshaft.
