im having a power steer fluid leak at the steer gear box cover, i saw in parts list there was an o-ring behind the cover, part id didn't tell the size so i miced the groove and bought a new o-ring, didnt appear to be anything wrong with the old o-ring but installed new and it leaks worse from around the cover now. im at a loss for what to do next. any thoughts or help would be much appreciated. it leaks bad when i dead head the steering in one direction or the other

Howdy Tomy2tone,   I had 2 6140 4x4,s . No problem with ether one with power steering till I sold them. Ether I was doing something right or they were doing something wrong. That had to be the only weak point in that tractor. Best little 4x4 tractor with lots of power for size and great on fuel! The way I understand they had two different units from factory at the end of the steering wheel gear box. Maybe one was better that the other I dont know. But one of the fellows put a different steer box on his or some how made a fix. Thats all I know. Kurzy

Thanks for the feed back, i love this tractor, I bought it one year ago, used it all summer last summer it never leaked from the gear box cover, then this winter it started and is worse now after i changed oring, i got to thinking the groove for the oring was bigger in width than the 2mm wide ring i put in, i ordered a 2.5 mm and a 3mm today and im gona cross my fingers one of them stopps the leak
