    Posted: 20 Jan 2010 at 10:33am
Talked to a neighbor about why he's not running his 6060.  Turns out rain (a lot of water) got down the exhaust and sat for weeks.  He tried to clean everything out and got it started, but now says it runs very sluggish and smokes a lot.

I'm thinking valve job.  He said the place he bought it told him $1,250 to get it fixed.  He said he'd sell it as it sits for $6,000.  Has a cab and 460 loader.

The turbo exhaust wheel is probably stuck and can't turn from rust wedging it.....clean it out and it may be fine or replace the turbocharger.

I agree - turbo likely stuck. Could be swelled carbon behind the exhaust turbine.  Bill at S>L>I

Even though the rain down the exhaust sat there for probably two months before he tried to start it?

I'm located in Texas myself.  I don't suppose he would want to sell the loader off it if he doesn't want to fix the tractor.  I'd like to have it on my 6080.

No, I asked him the very same question.  All or none.
