Um, coop97 you posted your question mid-afternoon. Most of the guys who might help you are outside farming, off at work, etc. They're not sitting around inside waiting for questions to answer! I suggest you wait until tonight and see what happens. BTW, I have no idea what it's worth. Where are you located?

What the heck,   Id say around a couple of thousand.  Lots of work there to bring it up the 5 thou range that everybody wants.  Cracked block doesnt help, overhauled engine is a plus,  hows the rear rims-look like they could be pretty thin, hows the trans-jump out of anything, hows the hyds work????    Id have ta hear it run before Id go higher.    HTH

A good, mechanically sound 45D with good tires would probably bring $5.5K here in Iowa.

hydraulics work good,  Doesn't jump out of gear.  As for the rims they are all good except for left rear has some bad rust around the valve hole.
As for the crack here it is

It really depends on how much muscle you have. The tractor does not have power steering. 1955 serial 207187  it still has the single groove pulley on the crank and water pump.

This maybe a dumb question, but how many years ago was it overhauled and if so why wouldnt you change the filters?

The gentleman I purchased the tractor from indicated it was overhauled 10yrs ago.  It was brought back to his home and used once before he let the block freeze and bust.  He said it sat ever since.  I bought the tractor not running.  Pulled the pump off to make sure it was not stuck.    Put diesel in it and a bleed the injectors.  Fresh batt. and 3 turns with no ether and fired right up.  It does NOT have a miss when it first fires up.  Engine is very strong.

Looks to me that the fuel line from the external pump goes directly into the injection pump, with both fuel filters bypassed. a rebuilt engine wont last long with uncleaned fuel going into it.

The primary filter is not bypassed.  The secondary and intermediate filters are not on the tractor.  I have located a new secondary canister filter but have not installed purchased it.  Trying to sell the tractor.

45 diesel motors were a piece of crap when new ....overhauled 10yrs. ago WOW...we used WD-45 back in the 50's had [2] diesels & [3] LP's...could never keep the diesels in the field...i know of several diesels & a lot of gas tractors ...just ride around the east side of MS. in the hills & there are plenty sitting around...anywhere from $250 to $1200 for any of them...I use a 1956 WD-45 as my baby pulling tractor...take care
