We've got a 5040 that's in fairly good condition but starting to need some TLC. I've seen some 5040's and 5050's at shows so I know people are restoring them. Any advice on where to get reliable parts? We've bought some out of Canada at importtractorparts.net with mixed results. Advice? Thanks in advance.

Joe's Tractors in Thomasville, NC bought out the parts inventory from Long Mfg. which sold the UTB tractors as Longs.  Since the 5040 is a UTB tractor, they may have what you need.

You’d be surprised at what AGCO still has available. There’s also a company that agco dealers are set up with that can get a lot of stuff for a 5040.

Specifically it seems as though we're having fuel system problems/ leaks. Also, can't find a new grille. I don't care for the orange fiat grilles. Thanks for the lead from Thomasville. Also, does anyone know the name of the company that Agco has dealings with? We've also got a Long 2510 so that lead in Thomasville is a huge help.

Sparex is the aftermarket company. But you have to order from an agco dealer they don’t sell direct. You can look at the parts on their website though. Fuel system parts are available through agco. Washers, seals, etc
No one has a factory grill available unfortunately

A lot of those parts on ebay, also Long 445 and Oliver 1265 is basically the same tractor as the 5040.Best lift pump I've found for them came off the shelf at a New Holland dealer.

I buy parts from Sparex and they are pretty good. Been a dealer for them for 18 years.

Fuel injection pump and injectors are just a Romanian copy of CAV (Mefin), so your local injection pump shop can service them. Mefin makes a lot of the parts for CAV pumps anyway.
