The heavy clutch has nine springs instead of six.  I'd recommend the nine springer if you plan to work the tractor.
Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

The swap will work!! In the early days I had a fuel injected 409 from an "A" gasser drag car in WD modified puller.
