37 wc budget build puller

The D-19 carbs I have used in the past (Marvel-Schebler, not Zenith) I drilled out the seat of the needle and seat. This is because gravity fuel flow from the tank sometimes couldn't keep up when running 2500 RPM on a 300 ft track. So, be prepared if you run fine up until the end and it seems like it might be running out of gas 

I have a WD-45 Crank I would sell. $300 plus shipping. 

wasted money having the fly wheel of the wc turned for the ring gear it weighed 65 the wd wheel weighed 59.8 center in the wc one is solid i thought it would end up a few pounds heavyer but it came out 59.8 and the machine shop messed it up and had to weld it up and turn it agan   . my new little buddy star helping

        i uped the size of tubeing and fitttings to 3/8 just as soon as got got the carb  the 3/8 looked huge at first but that is what i was worryed about was running out of gas  iam just hoping the sediment bowl can keep up

Just imagine where your pull point is going to be if by chance the pin at the front of the drawbar were to shear off. When I was a safety inspector for different clubs I discouraged drawbars with that sort of height adjustment. A cradle built around the drawbar with push bolts up and down that will allow the drawbar to slide cleanly our without changing the pull point to a higher position is much safer. 

guess thats what the wheelie bars are for.   this is the first puller ive biult and probley the first dedicated puller in my area   their isnt much for hitches out on the inernet for hitch or wheelie bars for the wc  if  it dont work i will do somthing differant  . i should be the big fish in a little pond for a while hoping to spark a little more interest around here without spending a zillion

I always thought I would like to build a set of wheelie bars that could be removed or raised by just pulling one pin on each side, similar to the way a receiver hitch on a pickup truck. The wheelie bars can be a real problem when loading/unloading. Front end goes up and the wheelie bars hit the ground.

Hudco,  we havnt spoken for awhile.  Our conversations regarding flywheels.  yes the 45 flywheel does not have the undercut on the clutch side, but it does have less material on the crankshaft side. Have not been able to weigh them but the difference might be closer than we think, and reading you post above confirms that.

We use two WC flywheels as weights on one of our pullers. One is for a crank starter and the other one has a ring gear. They both weigh 65 pounds.

We’ll have our first pull at the Washington County Fair in Hurricane on April 19 at 10:00. The Cotton Days pull will be a week later on April 26 in Washington, Utah. Then we won’t have another pull until Labor Day weekend at the Iron County Fair in Parowan. Then our best event of the year will be our two-day pull in Cedar City on October 24-25. This is held as part of the Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival. The pull on Saturday the 25th is unlike anything you can experience anywhere else. We have a draft horse pull & tractor pull on two side-by-side tracks in the same arena at the same time!!! We’d love to have you come down. Kip (435) 592-4045
