Grasping at straws here but would
any one happen to have a 426 engine with 4.5 inch pistons or sleeves in it sitting in the back corner of the shop. |

This question is just for my information. Does the block have to be machined to a larger sleeve. Im assuming the standard sleeves arent thick enough for the larger bore

I believe the largest diameter piston in the thinnest custom made sleeve is in the 4.400" diameter range. So yes, the block needs to be bored for 4.500".
