I've never seen a need for anything more under those numbers. Never seen valve float at 3500 RPM with stock springs either.

The problem we've run in to, is boost pressure will try to open the valves between cycles. For that reason, we've set up to use BBC springs, for a solid lifter cam, and even roller cam springs to try to keep things sealed up. The place I get them from is not far from you Brian, Competition Products.
210 "too hot to farm" puller, part of the "insane pumpkin posse". Owner of Guenther Heritage Diesel, specializing in fuel injection systems on heritage era tractors. stock rebuilds to all out pullers!

 I will be using these springs. They fit perfectly with no alterations and have a closed spring pressure of 100 lbs.

I use the BBC retainer, locks, and rotator eliminators to sit on the head to cover the counterbore.

My machinist used his BBC spring pocket cutter on my 426 head. Worked perfect. Using comp cams 26120 springs with corresponding retainers and locks. Installed spring pressure is 80 lbs.
7095-685I at 255hp, 8070-225HP,8050-210Hp,8030 with 155HP,220 with 670T engine with A-pump, 7580, 185 with 140HP, 2-6080's,6070, S4 D17,wd45,CA,st34 agco, S1 D17 with 3500MK2

I have heavy duty springs left off my twin charger set up ! $50 buys plus shipping , good set didn't float at 100 boost and 4800 rpm! Maybe overkill ! Lol

Oh my gosh. Don’t You know stock springs were used for decades and engineers hammered out the correct springs with tree limbs. Think of the wear!!!! 85 pounds of installed height will push the cam through the oil pan. Figure 8x80 equals 640lbs of lard setting on that camshaft. Why I was told on here that the big boys take ink pens apart and use the tiny spring in them for valve springs. These guys scared the life out of me just for thinking about 65lb seat pressure springs. Imagine if I had wrote big block springs.....
