I am looking for some tips for a naturally aspirated class. I would like to put a 301 in the D19 and the 262 in the D17. What hp levels, and what mods could I expect without going internal. I am going to be pulling 4 tractors next summer so funds will be tight.

Essentially, you cannot increase the HP levels of either engine without increasing RPM's or installing a larger carburetor and maybe a larger throat intake manifold.

Install the 301 carb on the 262 and get a 7700 gas John Deere combine carb for the 301.

That 7700 carb is pretty massive that I have seen.
