Hi all,
I asked this in my junk yard post, but figured I'd get a better response with a separate post title. (and I may have asked this in the past, if I have sorry, I forgot the answer...) What is the significance of a 3 hole Vs. 9 hole pan seat on WD's?? Were they used on different years? Made by different suppliers? What kind would be right by the correct police on my 1950 WD? Thanks in advance!

So does this mean that early WD's had 9 holes and later WD's had the 3's??

I just know if you see a pile of seats they seem to be both types out there. I wonder if the suppliers and seat patterns just changed from time to time.
