Gentlemen

I have purchased a 262 out of a gleaner to put in my WD45 super farm puller.  I just wanted to ask if anyone could impart a little knowledge on what all has to be done to get the motor to fit/run right.  I have a set of diesel frame rails if the frame needs to be longer but it seems like I have seen these 262s in the original gas frames with no problem but I could be wrong.  Any list of extra parts and things I'll need to do will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Ben

OK from what I know he will need a wd45 diesel engine backplate. Allis changed the wide front from 3 bolt to 4 bolt for two reasons one was brakeage the other to fit the Diesel. wd45D narrow fronts are there own casting. A friend has one in a converted to gas tractor. The diesel radiator is different. hood longer. you will have governor issues as well, combine will either idle or be wide open. a cockshutt front plate, timing cover, and governor will work. Look for one from a 30. they had a six ball governor that can take more rpms. also get the front pulley and engine mount.
