need a part number or source for rod bols and nuts the oem part numbers seam to not go any where on the innernet does arp have somthing i am going to order new head studs from arp my origanal block had studs my doner block had bolts. but for now we need to find rod bolts

I don't know where to find one, if you have a local tractor graveyard you could try there. Otherwise maybe the more experienced members would know?

we found enought new ones this morning oems from a few differant dealers but i am going to try and get arps . absolutly no used rod bolts especaliy on these old engines that have probly had a half of dozen in frames

Keep us posted on this. If ARP has a replacement, would you let us know? Or post the p/n of the original bolts/nuts, if still available? I’m strongly considering replacing mine before final assembly. Don’t want to take chances after all the headaches it has been getting this far.

arp is sending me one bolt to see it it will work , it sounds like the nut will end up exactly flush with the end of the bolt. think we will machine the rods and cap just enought to get a full thread past the nut also the grip lenght is about 1/8 longer that shouldent hurt. because thier is only an 1/8 grip in the cap . if it will be ok they have plenty and they cost exactly 10 times less than the oem , dont know who makes the oem but the arps should be the best we are going to get
