I havent had any luck moving them.  I bought a 35' that was advertised as "for parts" because it had stripped the nut off and lost the wheel.  I rethreaded it, then I bought a special nut that a local farm store was selling as a locking nut for the front wheel bearings on an M Farmall.  It had the same thread, and it was a 2 stage deal.  You screwed the bottom half of the nut on to where you wanted your bearing for tightness, then the top half of the nut screwed on separately and it had a taper to it to hold it tight to the threads you had left.  I did that, pulled it 100 miles home behind my pickup, and have been using it a year or so without any trouble.  I think the nut cost $14.  I can try to get a part number or something if you are interested.

Out of curiosity, where are you at in East Ne?  My mom grew up in that neck of the woods.  I replaced the bearings and races in the hub, but in this case, the hub was fine. Good luck doing much with the wheel off, it should try to dig pretty bad on that side from my experience with it.  The part number on the lock nut I used is Tisco LN 10-5.  The other number on it is 814377.  A link to a google store with them is here http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&ds=pr&sugexp=ldymls&pq=tisco+814377&xhr=t&q=tisco+ln+10&cp=11&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=5963799650717914612&sa=X&ei=2SbVTd67OYWUtweLqpCIDA&sqi=2&ved=0CD8Q8wIwAg&biw=800&bih=487#Clamp Lock Nut
