The 220 hyd. pump loses it's prime just as soon as I shut it off. I'll start it right back up and nothing. If I loosen the plug on top of the pump, it will prime and work all day but shut it off and it's gone. Where should I look or what needs done? Rebuild pump?

                                   Thanks, Mike

Front shaft seal, doughnut gaskets on suction line, gaskets on suction line, and the short stub hose on the suction line (on my 7000's engine mounted pump it is right behind the engine frame rail on the bottom of the hydraulic pump).

Clean the screen in rear end where suction line comes out.   MACK

When we changed the rear end and flushed the system out cleaned the screen and it still has done this. I just don't understand why you can run it all day shut it off start it right back up and you don't have any hydraulics, but the pto runs until you prime it.
