We have a kicker on the baler we use now, so I guess technically my post is sort of out dated. Once in a while, if I need to kick a bale out on a steep hill, I have to back away and position sideways so the bale doesn't take off rolling down the hill. Prior baler was a 660 new holland, which had a spring loaded kicker, but if a person was facing downhill at all, the bale would roll back under the tailgate if you didn't do the back up and go ahead thing.
