In Norm Swinford's book in the serial # guide it list the 200 at serial 4001 in 1973 to 11521 in 1975 as cost reduced, what does this mean? My 200 has 3500 hours on it and it slips in high range, is this a simple fix without splitting the tractor? Thanks again.

Your power director slipping may be a simple fix in the valve or linkage to the valve. Make sure that the linkage is not worn and that the valve spool is being moved to the full extent of its travel. If it is like mine when I bought it this will be the case but not the entire solution as both my high and low clutches were worn completely out. Put it back together only to find out that the pto clutch was the same. Works great after getting it fixed though.
I have no idea about the cost reduced tractor though.

one thing I have noticed is the power director lever on early 200's is like 190's, push down to unlock the positions. cost reduced 200's have a handle along the power director lever, and it uses 3 notches to position the lever. they may also have open battery boxes, but not positive on that.
