on the old 175D and JD MX8  the last two days...Grass and weeds are tall this year!  Most of the time  spent in the low side of 2nd gear. On my 3rd tank of fuel, return line is leaking (rubbed a hole in it against an injector line)  fuel gauge quit working this evening....not Union but still made me $75 an hour.

Should have had my camera....lots of deer and fawn, (luckily no casualties today)  red-tail hawks, coyotes and snakes.  I was up on the mountainsides  and down in the swamps...scenery was unbeatable.  I like my outdoor office!

Eldon that's a pretty nicely matched mowing setup and efficient with the diesel.  I like my buggy top on my 180 for mowing in the summer.  That shade really makes a difference.  Yes too bad you didn't get some landscape pictures.  And you give us an pic of an Orange tractor with it's green butt showing...that's just RUDE!  LMAO!  Mike

Mike I can't have anything sticking up.... a lot of places I mow  it would get taken off real fast....I was thinking today that it would be nice to have the power of a 180 in this tractor...I like the big stick and being able to stand up comfortably as I mow a lot of new fields standing  up and feathering the handclutch in areas that might have rocks. Today I was mowing stands of sage, vetch  and thistle that almost killed the old girl going uphill....

Howdy Eldon, I can see a little more horse will help in the montains and sage brush. I just sold a 6 foot Allis brush cutter that was petty heavy. I am coming out again this August to Two Dot Montana maybe  I can see this orange in action.

Eldon, You need to slip a little turbo on the Perkins to liven it up. I have 3 236 Perkins engines with turbos ( JCB 532, JCB 550 telahandlers with around 100hp).
Also have a new 1000 series Perkins (236 cu.in) at 138hp on a 100kw genset.
Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

Calvin I wonder if injecting a little propane would help...mount a tank up front and have a solenoid operated valve....push the button and go!

Kurzy I don't know where Two Dot is, but you are welcome to come on over...I'm 180 miles west of Missoula just off I-90

Eldon - looks like a nice setup. We brushhog one good-sized field for a customer every summer - usually weeds up over the hood of the tractor. Very colorful and no rocks!
