I recently purchased this 2 row Allis Chalmers planter. The person I bought it from said he thought it was a 52 model. Is anyone familiar with this planter and know the model for sure. I am looking to get a manual to fix up. Also can you plant Valencia peanuts and Chufa with this planter?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edited by Foodplotter - 14 Jul 2010 at 5:37pm |

Not sure of the model. Appears to have been a 4 row or larger that has been cut down to a 2 row. I'm not much help. It might do peanuts, if you can find some plates that would handle them.

I have one like this too. It is an original 2 row. I have a bunch of plates but do not know if it will plant peanuts.

By the logo on the fertilizer box it is a 1964 or newer planter.

Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed

I think that is the 50 series unit. They came in #51, 52, 53, 54, 55 series configurations depending on the type of openers and seed use. I may have a book for those units. Pic of a parts unit......Dale
