Hey everyone.
I have a 1973 homelite T-16 that the bevel gearbox went out. Where is the best place to get a rebuild kit on those? How much do they cost as well? Any help would be great, thanks

I just went through the bevel gearbox on a 3416 Simplicity, and everything was availble from the local bearing shop except the ball bearings. New seals and needle bearings were easy to get and not too expensive. The ball bearings I got through Sandy Lake, but pricey.
The ball bearings were Briggs and Stratton part number 2172256SM. Could not find them elsewhere as they are 7/8" ID and 52mm OD. Weird. |
