Not going to be much help here, just bumping you back up. Doesn't look factory to me. Tractor probably was a diesel to begin with, but may have had that swapped in when the original went toes-up.

The left hand frame rail looks to have the factory depression to accomodate the bosch psb pump, but the oil filter is definitely not right nor is the cut out in the frame rail to accomodate it.  the factory buda 230 engine had two oil filters but there was no cutout in the frame rails.  Not sure what engine that is, but it is not the correct one.

its a buda AC engine, the guy said it was put on there like  kit (but idk ) and i no he cut the fram to put it in i dont care if its not factory but as long as its good and works lol
but its not a bad tractor to have when ur 17 lol

Well the filter looks to be that of the early D-17 diesels, so it may be a 262, but with the bosch pump i don't know, because the 17's had the Roosa Master.  May be out of a combine too, hard to say for sure.

I was thinking that that engine may be out of a Cockshutt 40 which had the Buda diesel but not the same filter setup

I would bet a guy could arrange a double filter set-up and patch the frame rail so you couldn't tell it from original.

well how much HP was a 40 cause the guy was pulling with it and she'll turn the rpm and is pretty strong
