1949 WD Leaking manifold.

   So I inherited my grandfathers WD last year and have slowly been working on it.  I just finished replacing the air cleaner and rebuilding the carb. Seems to start alright but I am getting watery oil leaking from my manifold. I did order some new studs to replace the current ones as they are pretty bad.  Any input on what else I should check while I am tearing things down would be great.

Some of those manifold studs go into a water jacket. If you didn’t put some type of thread sealant on those studs, what you’re probably seeing is engine coolant. I like to use the same type of Teflon paste that plumbers use. Kip

Ok thanks,  I'm guessing its oily just due to washing the cylinder before getting spit out?

Just check your radiator for oily residue... and check the crankcase oil for any "white" water residue.. Just to make sure you dont have something else going on inside.. Normally what "leaks" from the studs is coolant, but could be picking up OLD carbon/ oil residue from the manifold.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.
