I am taking the radiator apart on my WC to paint it and I took the old temp gauge out and now there is still part of it left that I can't get out. How do I get this part out?? Is this a common problem?

Norm, that may be what I have to do. I really don't like the idea of drilling on any part of the radiator, even if it is a shot temp gauge. From what I can tell it is threaded and I can find no way of getting a grip on it to spin it out. So I may have to drill it out and use an ease out.
