Looking at adding a LP version of the 190xt to my collection. Did not find production numbers of the lp's in Mr Swinfords book, does anyone know how many were made? Would any of the LP 190xt's have the 4 pin differential? Do the lp's sell for about the same money as the diesel? Anything in particular I should look for when looking the tractor over, other than the normal jumping out of gear and checking out the power director?

Thanks, will be interesting reading your responses.

I really like using my MM G900 LP, love how quite the engine is compared to the diesel.

Four-pinion differentials became factory installed at s/n 23001 which was a series 3 version. Not saying that it couldn't have a 4-pinion if it's older than s/n 23001, but it would have been installed by a Dealer and if so, probably after a failure of the 2 pinion style.

There "was" an XT propane in Bristow, OK when we went through there last Thanksgiving on a tractor lot.
It's on Hwy 66 on the west edge of town on the left as you come from the west just past the car dealership going east.
I had stopped and looked at it a few years ago and from the serial number determined that it was a '65 model, IIRC.
At that time, it had the big donut weights on the inside of the rear wheels.
One more thing, it has a cab on it but the side glass was out, IIRC, on that when i looked at it.

Hmmm, I wonder who that might be. Carthage is my growing up and graduating hometown.

I've seen a number of them here in Oklahoma over the years, but there are quite a few older LPG tractors down here in general.

I always thought only the Series 3 Diesels got the 4 pinion diff, along with series 3 ID.

Pages 218 and 220 on AGCOPARTS.com for 190XT clearly shows there were no exceptions for gas, diesel or LPG. All 190's and 190XT's at s/n 23001 got the 4-pinion differential. The ring gear inside diameter was different between 2-pinion and 4-pinion diffs, so there was no logical reason to have two different rear ends to be built. Make them all the same.

The 190XT LP on Carthage Craigslist was mine. I think it’s sn was in the 9000’s. It had the smaller rear axle. I had never used that tractor. I have another 190XTLP, sn 12573 that has the larger rear axle. This tractor has been in our part of the world probably since new. We have used it in the field and it’s a real workhorse. I have considered selling because we don’t use it much now. Most of the calls I got on the one I sold were from guys putting together a collection of 190’s.

B Harper, did you know or hear of an Alan Hancock? He's my dad.
He started farming the Carthage Airport in '55 and then Fair Acres, before it is what it is now, back in about '70 until the city made other plans for it.
And, my brother John and I were in on the fun there.

Yes I remember him farming around the airport and wal mart. I didn’t know him personally but he and my grandpa would have been about the same age. I think my grandpa bought a little seed from him. My grandpa had a dairy and crop farm east of Carthage then north up towards Jasper. Grandpa was a old Allis guy, who switched to John Deere but stayed a loyal Gleaner customer. His last combine was a R52 which we still run. I am good friends with John’s son.

Who was your grandpa?
Yes, dad was a Funk's G hybrid seed dealer and distributor.
I was thinking that your last name sounded real familiar to me and wondered if I knew you or not.
I saw Justin at Thanksgiving when we came up there and stayed at my next sister down home.
Had Thanksgiving supper at Gloria and hubby's place in Oronogo.
You'll see our bunch on my FB page with a Kelsey Westerhold pic on Nov.29.
I'm on the right end in back of my wife, (in striped top), and Gloria in the orange top.
Justin is front and center holding his niece.
If someone else looks familiar to you in that pic, it would be Gail, who's in the black sweater and has silver hair.
She's been the Carthage Vo-Tech secretary 30 years + -.
So, if you were in FFA or other program there at Carthage, you probably came across her a time or two.
And finally, the one kneeling in front with the peace signs, is my 11 yr old daughter, Jessie.

I didn’t go to school in Carthage, I went to Jasper. My grandpas name was Paul. He and two of his brothers each had diary farms east/north east of Carthage. His brothers were Jim-Tom and Lloyd, all diseased now. Did your dad have a 210? For some reason I thought I saw one at his place once.

Hi.
No, we didn't have 210's. We had 2 XT 3's, '69 and '72.
