Hello all.
I have a 190xt series 3 tractor.
Earlier this spring, I was trying to start it. It was like a 30 degree day, and it does not like cold weather.
It was cranking, and it quit. I noticed smoke rolling off the starter solenoid.
After some cursing, I pulled the starter off and took it to an auto electric shop to have it rebuilt. When I got it back, I did notice a new solenoid was installed.
I get everything installed, and the engine will not crank. The solenoid engages on the flywheel, but the engine will not crank.
I installed new batteries, and the same thing.
What could I be overlooking that is preventing the engine from turning over?
Something else I was wondering, is can this tractor be pull started?
Thank you all for your help with this tractor.

Tractor will not pull start, the power-director ( hi / low ) is hydraulicly engaged. Engine must run for it to engage.
Try to turn the engine manually to ensure that engine is free. You, Can do this on flywheel ring gear with bar or big screwdriver, either thru access hole under clutch house or remove starter ,  or try turning the fan if belts are tight. IF engine turns take starter back to who worked on it.

Thanks. With that type of clutch set up, I didn't think it would pull start.
I'll try turning it like you said.
Thank you for your help.
