Anybody on here make the adapters for a big block Chevy steel flywheel to 301 engine? Otherwise I have a place that will make one. Might do a couple extras if there’s a need.
And what clutch has anyone used with that flywheel. I see the Chevy input shafts are 1.125” not 1.25” like an Allis. |

I'd probably be interested in an adapter, and also the clutch info too- but you,d still be using the AC clutch the pilot bearing needs to fit in the Chevy flywheel

I use a clutch disc from a Ford truck if memory serves me correct. You will have to use a Chevrolet pressure plate or redrill the flywheel, I have used automotive pressure plates and clutch plates with no problems. Hope this helps.......

Seems my One Eighty had a Mack truck clutch and pressure plate in it

Most steel flywheels have more than one pressure plate bolt pattern, which are standard bolt pattern.
I used a Crower on GM flywheel. MACK

Mack , didnt you use a big block chevy flywheel and just redrill it ? Is that all it took ?

I dont know if this is any help to anyone but years ago, running big block Chevys we used IHC truck clutches. They bolted right up.
