Want to speed up a 190 rear end to about 25 to 1 or a little less. Any left over gears around to achieve this project?

I know of ONE puller from 40+ years ago that actually did this. He had a 5500 lb single turbo/intercooled 190XT tractor that needed more than road gear as he never had any issues running road gear. I was an A-C company rep at the time and suggested that he look into somehow mating a 190 XT (35 tooth) ring gear with a 200 (10 tooth) pinion shaft. That winter he did it and never invited me to help or even watch, but he got it done, and was very pleased with the approximate 10% speed-up when the next season came around. I have since determined he must have used a 200 rear end with the 10 tooth main shaft/pinion gear in it, and mounted a 190 ring gear (35 tooth) from a four-pinion differential to the 200 four-pinion differential and shimmed and spaced things to get the backlash where he wanted it. His original ratio was 27.81 to 1 and final ratio was 25.02 to 1, just what you've asked for.

I will sure check into that. I’ll do some more investigating parts in the back back here and see what we can come up with. Thanks, Doc.
