I have 2 - 16HP Kohlers K341 I have rebuilt only to have problems with later - replaced with HONDA 18 HP engine and works good - only problem was Honda air cooling sucks grass clippings up and plugged air intake = had to put screen under engine to keep intake clean .
Might look at Harbor Freight engine in size - put one om my small tiller and works good and cost is affordable . |

Are you trying to get rid of the Kohlers? What problem do they have? I haven’t had a lot of problems with Kohlers …. |

I just plain remove them balancers gears, if the engine hadn’t removed them it’s self…
I had a k341 and a k241 remove the gears themselves and I had to patch the hole in the block, both run fine now. |
