Getting ready to change the oil in my 175. Is 15-40 alright or should you use an older type oil? I have been around the tractor but never changed the oil.

I think any brand of 15w 40 is the new standard for all Diesel engines.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Can't go wrong with Mobil Delvac 1300
It's made especially for Diesel engines

I use Rotella T4 15W-40 in all my diesel’s.

Anything that has a 2-letter specification starting with ‘C’ (for Compression ignition). CD, CE, CF, etc.
