I have a parted out 185 with the dual pto (hydraulic actuated) and was wondering if I could put it on one of my 175's without any modification or different parts? I know the rear housing needs to be changed....Might be kind of useful with the Howard Select-a-Tilth rotovator.

You can install it if you want.....the results will be the 540 will run about 300 rpm and the 1000 will run 660 rpm at full throttle.

Yes.....all 540/1000 rpm tractors are originally 1000 rpm up front.
