I was swapping spring-work equipment for hay equipment this weekend and thought I sould share a picture that also brings up a question. ![]() The faded, wore decals on the field cultivator say 1300-S. I am aware there were a few variations of these machines but had never heard of the S before. Can anybody shed some light on this please?

Don't know about the "S", but I have a 1300-E.

Jim I have heard of the "E" also, but I am almost positive the worn decal is not an E. What did the "E" stand for any way.
Captain, It is the only way to fly, no pun intended. I actually do most of my field work in open tractors but it is sure nice to get out of the dust when pulling a field cultivator or have the stadium lights for night work. Plus with what I think is the "muffler eliminator" it has a nice bark. It is a shame that AC went under whn it did because they sure had a heck of a tractor with the 8000 series. Easy to drive and easy to work on. If you are flying by east central WI on your way to the EAA airshow perhaps stop in and you can take it for a test drive.
