I saw an ad for a nice 2wd 5020 with a belly mower under it. Never been around one. Son has about 5 acres of hilly yard to cut. The tractor appears to be well kept, looks good and isn't jury rigged and the price is very right. Assuming there are no obvious mechanical problems would it be a good belly mower tractor? enough power for a 60" mower on hills? I read that parts are available through AGCO but it was an older post? Thanks for any information |

A 5020 in good condition should run a 60" mower, no probs. Bad news is that Toyosha or Hinmoto is no longer in business, so you will have an orphan, in good shape. check tractorbynet, there used to be a warehouse in VA that stocked some parts... ------------- Source: Babylon Bee. | I have no experience with a 5020, but I used to own a caseih 1120 (and that little Perkins had a hell of a lot more to it than the 19 horse rating said it should) and I got so sick of tearing up the yard with the 2 wheel drive on every little hill that it had to go. The 4wd Kubota wasn’t cheap, but it doesn’t make a mess of the yard, and with a little grease every week I will never have to buy another one. (Ok, oil changes and other maintenance are also required, but greasing the mower deck is the only weekly maintenance requirement) |

| I have a 5020 with a belly mower and 3pt finish mower. Both work good except if the grass gets tall the belly mower has some trouble. If the belly mower is the allis one some parts are available. The 2 cylinder diesel is easy on fuel. I mainly use the finish mower as I had to fix up the belly mower and just didn't put it back on. |

I would consider a B, C, CA or D10........... easier to get parts.. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

| 5020,S have no power steering- can be a bear at times! Theyre alright- little awkward getting off and on- transmission speeds are different- if its cheap enough tell him to go for it |
