On a FEL, does the bucket need a stop, or does the end travel of curl cylinder stop it? Seems like a stop if before end travel of cylinder, would bind or twist frame. Thanks, Tracy

Really do not want Cylinder Internals to Hard Stop Curl or Dump, not only to prevent component damage but to allow port access on Side of Cylinder for oil entry avoiding Seals Position around piston.

I have known of people pulling the glands out of bucket cylinder on loaders like the JD 145/148 loaders using the dumped bucket as a dozer blade, when the buckets did not have proper dump side hard stops.  hard stops should come into play a bit before the end of cylinder travel.

I don't remember having seen bucket tilt stops on loaders on farm tractors or any of the mid size skid-loaders. Although, some of the newer larger skid loaders and loaders on 150+ hp farm tractors made in last few years may now be using them.
When you get into the articulated type construction loaders most have a physical stop built into the bucket tilt linkages. The mid size Case with 2 bucket tilt cylinders are the exception and have no mechanical stops.
