We're trying to split a 7000 Allis tractor at the transmission and touque tube and it moves a 1/4" and after that it comes to a dead end no matter how long a bar you put on it . It seems to be hanging up on the 3 speed clutch plates! Has anyone ever had that problem before and how did you overcome it, thanks

You must not have pulled the transmission brake control shaft out the left side.

You also have to pull out the oil supply tubes. I forget,  but I believe that there's three small ones to feed the clutch packs on the right hand side and there's a larger tube underneath an elbow for lube flow on the left side. The power director valve body on the right side has to come off to remove the three tubes. Hopefully the tubes haven't been bent already or they will difficult to remove .
